You could say that I have a sweet tooth. Ever since I was a kid, sweet things have always interested me more than savory. It’s why I love sodas so much. The thing is, on my last visit to the dentist, I was told that if I wanted to keep my teeth in relatively good health, I need to stop drinking so many fizzy drinks. Reluctantly, I agreed and look for an alternative. It’s at this point that I discovered Wonder Tea.
This beverage was marketed as being ideal for those with a sweet tooth – which instantly made me think that it might be a good option. So, I clicked the necessary buttons online and bought some to try.
And so…My Wonder Tea Arrived
Just a couple of days after ordering, my new tea arrived and fell on my welcome mat. I took it into the kitchen for closer inspection and opened the packaging. What struck me first was the interesting orange-looking leaves that gave the tea a vibrant appearance.
It had a lovely sweet smell, so I had already gotten a hint that it was going to be right up my street! After looking online, I saw that this was due to the chocolate chips it contains, as well as the caramel flavouring and Rooibos.
Coming from South Africa, the colourful leaves of Rooibos are very distinctive and very sweet. Surely, this appropriately-named Wonder Tea was going to be wonderful.
And Now…To the Tasting!
I brewed the tea as directed with boiling water, letting it steep for around 5 minutes. Truth is, I could smell the sweetness of the leaves from across the room, and it was all I could do to resist taking a sip until it had diffused into the water properly.
The moment came, and I tasted the beverage for the first time. I can tell you, I was very pleasantly surprised. I’d had been underwhelmed by herbal teas in the past, but this was something else entirely.
It satisfied my sweet tooth every bit as much as my sodas, and with the added benefit of not destroying my tooth enamel! It had none of the guilt either, which suited me perfectly. At the first attempt, I’d discovered a beverage that I could switch to.
Why Not Try Wonder Tea For Yourself? You Could Love It!
I would suggest that anyone needing to make lifestyle changes like I had consider healthier alternatives like this one. It might not be packed with sugar, but that doesn’t stop it from having a lovely, sweet aroma and mouthwatering taste.
It’s now my beverage of choice, and I’ve told pretty much everyone I know about it too – so, I dare say they’re enjoying it too! The great thing is there are a ton more blends of tea out there to try, and I’m thinking of branching out and expanding my tea collection.
Who knows what I might come across soon?
