The Lincoln Lawyer
New to Netflix in May 2022, the Lincoln Lawyer has impressed viewers following on from a movie, and a book series which explores similar stories, the TV show brings a new lease of life to the story. It follows a lawyer who has been out of work for a year due to an accident and then gets handed a fellow lawyer’s caseload. These cases range from big to small cases, one of which is a famous case in LA, known as the Trevor Elliot case. The series has 10 episodes, each around 50 minutes long and each one seemingly ends on a cliffhanger. This is an ideal show to sit down and watch over a long period of time.

This is certainly a bingeable Netflix show as each episode carries into the next finishing on a cliffhanger most times. This is a well-written, well-performed, addicting, yet unsettling film.
Money Heist
This heist-based criminal thriller is originally in Spanish and requires subtitles or a dubbed version to view, despite being one of Netflix’s most popular series today! The series follows long-planned heists led by the professor’s mastermind. The first season is set in Madrid and is about a group of criminals who have a clever strategy devised by the professor who is also watching them, to hold the royal mint hostage without police or anyone else getting in and finally create money, fleeing with €984 million. The second heist begins with members of the squad hiding after the first theft, but then returning to escape from the Bank of Spain after holding hostages once more and preventing police forces from entering and taking their riches. If you don’t mind subtitles or dubbed episodes, this is unquestionably one of the greatest crime dramas to watch.
Ozark
This is another excellent bingeable Netflix show, with Season 4 having recently been published. This drama series stars Jason Bateman as Marty Byrde, a financial adviser who relocates his family from Chicago to the Ozarks after discovering that he is money laundering for a Mexican drug gang and owes them money due to his partners’ mistakes. Needing to right these wrongs and repay the cartel’s debt, he comes up with the brilliant idea of moving his wife, Wendy, and their two children to the Ozarks, which completely turns their lives upside down, while the Byrdes’ fate hangs in the balance due to circumstances that cause their family to fracture and become under threat from multiple parties, not just the cartel. Throughout its run, Ozark garnered good reviews from reviewers, with special appreciation for its tone, direction, production values, and performance. The programme also received 32 Emmy Award nominations, making it one of the finest crime dramas to watch.
